The fall of any nation is triggered when they have selective action on people and types of crime. While the society is very upset with non-halal meat being brought to the country via a very structured and organised supply chain i.e. cartel, they never questioned the practice of corruption in all types of cartel. While non-halal food has been the hot issue, the corruption was far from it.
We are living in a world of contradiction.
Bila masyarakat Islam memilih dalam menjenayahkan golongan manusia tertentu dan perbuatan jenayah tertentu, itu tanda kejatuhan masyarakat dan negara. Ramai tak puas hati isu daging tidak halal. Ini memang tidak patut. Ini jenayah. Tapi tak ramai pun yang membebel dan mengherdik amalan rasuah di sebalik setiap amalan kartel dalam semua dimensi kehidupan yang lain.
Kita sedang hidup dalam dunia yang penuh kontradiksi.
